Domestic and family violence prevention

The Queensland Government is taking action to end domestic and family violence and is committed to implementing the recommendations from the Not Now, Not Ever: Putting an end to domestic and family violence in Queensland report.

The Third Action Plan 2019-20 to 2021-22 continues to build on the significant work of Queensland’s domestic and family violence reform program has delivered since 2015.

As the state’s largest employer the Queensland Government makes a big contribution towards ending domestic and family violence, by supporting affected colleagues and creating a safe, respectful and supportive workplace culture.

The department uses workplace practices to take action to prevent and respond to violence against women, and partners with other organisations on domestic and family violence prevention initiatives.

How you can make a difference

We need to work together to stop the behaviour and attitudes that allow domestic and family violence to continue.
