Previous disclosure logs

We began operating as the Department of Tourism and  Sport (DTS) from December 2024. The Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport (DTIS) was formed on 12 November 2020, after being renamed from Department of State Development, Tourism and Innovation (DSDTI) as a result of Administrative Arrangements Order (No.2) 2020.

The Sport and Recreation and Queensland Academy of Sport functions joined DTIS from the former Department of Housing and Public Works due to machinery of government changes.

Prior to 12 November 2020, we operated as:

  • Department of State Development, Tourism and Innovation (11 May 2020 – 12 November 2020)
  • Department of Innovation and Tourism Industry Development (20 September 2019 – 12 November 2020)
  • Department of Innovation, Tourism Industry Development and the Commonwealth Games (13 December 2018 – 20 September 2019)
  • Department of Tourism, Major Events, Small Business and the Commonwealth Games (March 2012 – 13 December 2018).

Our functions were, at times, also part of other former departments.
