Stirling Hinchliffe is proud to partner with industry in continuing the Palaszczuk Government’s record delivery of more tourism experiences to support Queensland’s visitor economy to rebound better. Stirling also backs Queensland’s elite performance and events, including in his role as Minister Assisting the Premier on Olympics and Paralympics Sport and Engagement, while remaining focused on activating participation in sport and recreation across our communities.
Queensland has led the way in supporting innovators in our economy and community. Stirling is committed to backing our start-ups and researchers in emerging sectors and our established industries.
Stirling has experience across social and economic and portfolios. He has overseen the development of affordable housing choices, local government accountability reforms, fairer public transport fares, the doubling of multicultural event funding, major infrastructure projects and preparation for the 2018 Commonwealth Games – Queensland’s largest ever sporting event.
Prior to being elected, Stirling has worked in the public and private sectors and ran his own business. He is graduate of the University of Queensland and enjoys sports as a fan and player.
