Funding supports indigenous tourism in Cairns
13 February 2020
Indigenous tourism experiences in Cairns will receive support through a $400,000 marketing campaign as part of the new $10 million Growing Indigenous Tourism in Queensland fund.
Cairns has been announced as the first region to secure this important funding, helping to promote the region’s World Heritage and cultural areas, as well as showcase the more than 80 Indigenous experiences available to tourists visiting Cairns.
Indigenous businesses will be able to use the funding to market their business, attend trade shows as well as join Tropical Tourism North Queensland and Tourism Events Queensland.
