The park includes a skate circuit, pump track for beginner and intermediate biker riders, shaded seating areas, lighting, a CCTV security system and irrigation with underground tanks.

From toddlers on scooters to skateboarders and cyclists, the new park is providing a safe place for fun, healthy activities as well as community and youth-based events.

The skate park is located just across from Rotary Park, effectively creating a community activity precinct in Blackwater for everyone to enjoy and build community spirit.

The skate park was built after a $1 million Queensland Government investment through the Active Community Infrastructure Program and $300,000 from Central Highlands Regional Council.
