New $14 million Indoor Sports Centre opens in Logan
PCYC Logan has an impressive new home, taking the reins of the new $14 million Cronulla Park Indoor Sports Centre at Slacks Creek where it can provide direction and meaning to the lives of even more young people.
The 4700 square metre building features a rhythmic and artistic gymnastics hall, 24-hour gym with full-size boxing ring, administration area and multi-purpose rooms with sprung floor for dancing and martial arts.
It will be used by youth outreach programs, community groups and Indigenous programs as well as a wide range of sports and fitness groups.
The centre could become a training facility for professional gymnasts and potential Olympians as we build towards Brisbane 2032.
There is also outside school hours care for up to 100 children featuring a large outdoor playground.
The Centre was jointly funded by the Queensland Government and Logan City Council, supporting more than 46 full-time jobs.
