New look for Emu Park Surf Lifesaving Club

26 Jul 2021

Emu Park Surf Lifesaving Club on the Capricorn Coast has received a major refurbishment following a $1 million investment by the Queensland Government.

Supported through the Active Community Infrastructure program, the redevelopment included a new storage area, change rooms and upgraded beach access for people with reduced mobility.

The small club, founded in 1956 is excited for the upgrade of the facility – appealing to current volunteers and new members.

To make it easier for people with reduced mobility to access the patrolled beach, the club has also purchased a mat system and a specially designed wheelchair, funded by the Iwasaki Foundation.
