Queensland Government to retain Chief Entrepreneur
The Queensland Government will retain the position of Queensland Chief Entrepreneur to work hand in hand with the support of a new Advisory Council.
The Queensland Chief Entrepreneur and the Advisory Council will work together to ensure Queensland continues to generate a growing pipeline of new start-ups that have the potential to scale and expand globally, and that innovation continues to drive sustainable economic growth and high value jobs across the state.
They will also work together to support the state’s researchers and universities, intrapreneurs, investors, innovation ecosystem leaders, and our innovation precincts and hubs throughout the state.
The Queensland Government’s Advance Queensland initiative plays a major role in driving the innovation sector in the state, supporting over 7200 innovators whose projects are directly supporting close to 25,000 Queensland jobs.
Recruitment of a new Chief Entrepreneur is underway.
