New facilities for northside hockey venue
New change rooms and amenities opened at the Burringbar Park Hockey Facility in Chermside are set to encourage more players on the field.
On Saturday 4 September, the Brisbane Hockey Management Group officially opened a new amenities block on their second playing field.
Funded through the Active Community Infrastructure program, the new facilities include universally designed change rooms and showers for players, a parents room, as well as new public toilets for spectators.
The new amenities block will mean that teams on both fields will have their own discreet facilities on game-days.
The Brisbane Hockey Management Group, who run the facilities, is a joint initiative of the Brisbane Hockey Association Inc, the Brisbane Women's Hockey Association Inc, and Kedron Wavell Services Hockey Club Inc.
