West Wanderers Football Club kicks a goal with $924,125 in new amenities.

09 Dec 2022

Junior and Senior footballers in Toowoomba have brand new amenities to enjoy with the completion of a new modular building for West Wanderers Football Club at Nell E Robinson Park in Toowoomba.

The new modular amenities feature four changerooms, a separate area for officials, and a disability shower and toilet.   These amenities will greatly improve the club’s ability to host local and regional events.

The addition of these amenities also ensures the facility is more female-friendly to make the club a more welcoming place for girls and women of all ages who want to play football, and also for male and female referees and officials who can use the new facilities to prepare for games.

West Wanderers Football Club is the largest club in Toowoomba with a rich history of providing football activities for over 50 years dating back to 1967 and currently has over 500 participants.

The works were funded by a $924,125 (GST exclusive) investment through the Queensland Government’s Active Community Infrastructure program, as well as a financial contribution from the club and Toowoomba Regional Council.
