Woodfordia’s new glamping tents are ready for your next camping holiday

09 Dec 2022

The Woodford Folk Festival is back this year, so why not camp in style at Woodfordia’s newly opened glamping tents.

Located within the township of Woodford in the Moreton Bay hinterland, Woodfordia now has 20 new permanent glamping tents, made possible thanks to a $1.2 million investment through the Growing Tourism Infrastructure Fund.

Each glamping tent can accommodate up to four people and is fully-furnished with beds, seating, kitchen facilities and an ensuite bathroom.

The tents can be booked year-round, during festivals (like the Woodford Folk Festival) and events or for private functions or short-term holiday stays.

These new glamping tents will attract an additional 17,000 visitors annually to the region and boost the local economy by $28.6 million.

While you’re at Woodfordia you’ll also have to check out and cool-off in Lake Gkula – a man-made fresh water lake.

Also funded through the Growing Tourism Infrastructure Fund, the lake is chemical free and uses all-natural water filtration systems that deliver a safe habitat for wildlife and people alike.

It boasts more than 16 species of fish and crustaceans and over 8,000 plants, including native water lilies.
