Construction kicks off at the home of Eastern Suburbs Rugby League

Iconic Eastern Suburbs Rugby League Club are celebrating a new chapter in their 80-year history today with the turning of the sod on a $10 million redevelopment at Langlands Park.

Home to the Brisbane Tigers, the redevelopment will include the relocation and refurbishment of the 1937 Heritage Grandstand and pavilion, new spectator seatings, gym extension and refurbishment, new training room, female friendly change rooms and new entry.

The club received $1 million through the Queensland Government’s Election Commitment 2020 that will provide first-class training and playing facilities and welcome up to 4,000 spectators.

The Totally Workwear Stadium will host national NRL tams as well as state-wide rugby league and school competitions, local games, international university games as well as community sports and events.

Expected for completion in November 2022, the Totally Workwear Stadium will be constructed by iQ Construct and will create approximately 29 full time jobs.
