New round of FairPlay gives 2022 a jump start
More young Queenslanders will be getting active to start 2022 as applications opened for a new round of the ever-popular FairPlay voucher program on 19 January.
The $150 vouchers help young people from low-income families cover membership, registration or participation fees at their favourite sport or active recreation clubs.
Some of the many and varied activities that are available include scouts, girl guides, lacrosse, orienteering, water polo and beach volleyball. For a full list of the activity providers, visit https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/funding/fairplay/find-provider.
FairPlay gives thousands of young people the opportunity for physical exercise and social interactions they otherwise may not have
More than 102,000 vouchers worth more than $15 million have been claimed since the program began in mid-2019.
Applications will be open from 19 January to 23 March 2022. For more information, please visit: www.qld.gov.au/fairplayvouchers.
