Sunshine Coast’s first rollercoaster opens at Aussie World

29 Jun 2022

Aussie World has opened the first rollercoaster on the Sunshine Coast, the Dingo Racer, just in time for the school holidays.
With an investment of $763,000, through the Queensland Government’s Growing Tourism Infrastructure fund, Aussie World has opened the new thrill ride and completed a new 110 space car park.

Themed in Mad Max style, the new attraction includes seven moving cars speeding around the track at 72km/hr.
Aussie World CEO Jenny Howell said they were thrilled to bring the Dingo Racer to the Sunshine Coast following the addition last year of the adrenaline-charged SX360 ride.

“Our team is committed to bringing a memorable experience to fun-loving families and thrill-seeking young adult visitors who come through our gates. We continue to work strongly with stakeholders in the industry to drive tourism to the Sunshine Coast and cement Aussie World as an iconic theme park to visit,” she said.

“We’re incredibly appreciative of the support of the Queensland Government. We are treated as a valued partner in making the Sunshine Coast a must-visit, premiere destination for our esteemed locals and highly regarded holidaymakers.”

Aussie World is one of 22 projects supported through the state’s $25 million Growing Tourism Infrastructure Fund (GTI) 2020, including the TreeTops Junior Adventure Park and Amaze World’s latest attraction on the Sunshine Coast.
