Applications open for new Backing Female Founders programs

Applications have opened for two new programs aimed at backing Queensland female founders to grow their businesses, break down gender barriers and drive the new economy.

Since the Advance Queensland Female Founders program launched in 2019, more than 1550 women have taken part and the next chapter of the program is focused on supporting female founders take their innovative businesses to the next stage.

The latest Backing Female Founders initiative will deliver $3 million over the next three years to support female founders at different stages of the entrepreneurial lifecycle to develop and grow scalable, globally successful businesses.

Backing Female Founders responds to direct feedback from female entrepreneurs on what they need to give them the best chance of achieving business success.

The program is part of the Queensland Government’s $142.2 million Innovation for a Future Economy 2022-2032 Roadmap to make Queensland a leading and sustainable world-class innovation economy.
