Project overview

We’ve supported Macadamias Australia with a $936,450 investment towards the development of this project to help boost Bundaberg’s local economy.

The new tourism offering includes a pick your own orchard experience, interactive learning centre, retail outlet and a cafe featuring local produce with seating and an event space. The centre was officially opened in October 2021.

This project is a part of the $25 million Growing Tourism Infrastructure (GTI) Fund 2020/21 which is a key element of Queensland’s Economic Recovery Strategy: Unite and Recover for Queensland Jobs to help accelerate the State’s recovery from COVID-19.
