North Stores
North Stores is an exciting new food, art, workshop and event tourism offering now open at Tamborine Mountain providing visitors with a unique experience while also helping to promote produce and products of the Scenic Rim and wider region.
Project overview
We’ve supported Tiger Bear Pty Ltd with a $990,000 investment towards the North Stores Stage 2 development to help boost Tamborine Mountain’s local economy.
The new tourism offering includes a new multi-function building to host workshops and events, an outdoors events space, a compact garden shed, gift shop, and a flower and produce garden where visitors can learn about growing food.
North Stores offers a variety of experiences for locals and day trippers, helping to boost visitation to the region – with more than 30,000 additional annual visitors and $670,000 in expenditure predicted.
This project is a part of the $25 million Growing Tourism Infrastructure (GTI) Fund 2020/21 which is a key element of Queensland’s Economic Recovery Strategy: Unite and Recover for Queensland Jobs to help accelerate the State’s recovery from COVID-19.
