Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame
An iconic Queensland institution providing visitors with a remarkable outback experience.
Queensland’s regions offer visitors many unique tourism experiences and Outback Queensland is no exception with the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame.
Situated in the central west town of Longreach, this iconic Queensland attraction was founded as a tribute to the unsung heroes of remote Australia and recognises the contribution the people of the bush have made to our wide brown land.
Established in 1988, the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame has played host to more than one million interstate and international visitors – providing each with a spectacular outback experience.
Supported by funding from the Australian and Queensland governments, the museum has five themed galleries that display the history behind some of Australia’s greatest explorers, stock workers, pastoralists, and Indigenous people.
The Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame is a jewel in the crown of Queensland’s regional tourism attractions, allowing visitors from around the world to experience a taste of quintessential Outback Queensland.
