Australia's Largest Dinosaur Display

Australia’s largest dinosaur ‘Cooper’ will be part of a permanent exhibition at the Eromanga Natural History Museum. The dinosaur, measuring 30m long x 6.5m high was the largest animal to walk our continent and one of the top ten largest in the world.

Project overview

The exhibition will highlight Cooper’s life and death, the story of its discovery and the process for its display including fossilisation, replication, research and scientific description.

A climate-controlled, glass fronted room will display the real bones of Cooper alongside a full sized, scientifically accurate, 3D printed and painted skeleton.

Through guided and self-guided tours, we are supporting this project to provide an authentic and immersive experience for visitors. The attraction will be significant to the region and link to other projects and attractions like the Natural Sciences Loop.

Benefits

  • Build new exhibition to see Australia’s largest dinosaur

  • Educate visitors about dinosaur history
