Queensland Music Trails
We’re helping to put Queensland on the map as a music tourism destination.
In June 2022, we announced a $20 million investment over three years to fund the Queensland Music Trails to drive domestic and international visitors to regional destinations with itineraries linking music events, and local tourism, art and cultural experiences.
Following a 2021 trial of the Queensland Music Trails, the funding will be used by the Queensland Music Festival to develop a series of regional tourism and drive itineraries aimed at motivating people to travel to and around regional Queensland to experience music and art events designed for that area.
With the new funding, 16 events will be held across four regions in 2023, with the first music trail being an Outback Music Trail in May 2023. View the trail map (PNG, 273.0KB).
The Trails will create regional job opportunities, boost local economies and drive visitors to all corners of the state.
