Dusty Joe’s tourist accommodation

Dusty Hill Vineyard in the South Burnett region is expanding with new accommodation options and a boutique brewery and distillery for guests to enjoy.

Project overview

We’re supporting Dusty Joe’s with a $2.25 million investment to build 20 units of accommodation ranging from one to four bedrooms. Additional on site infrastructure will be established to support a cellar door, sales and tasting experience.

The new accommodation will enable the South Burnett region to have the capacity to service larger group tourism markets including conference, events and retreats with the point of difference being Queensland country lifestyle experiences.

This project is a part of the $25 million Growing Tourism Infrastructure (GTI) Fund 2020/21 which is a key element of Queensland’s Economic Recovery Strategy: Unite and Recover for Queensland Jobs to help accelerate the State’s recovery from COVID-19.

Benefits

  • 19 construction jobs expected during development

  • Estimated to grow local economy by $5.6 million each year

  • Forecast up to 57 jobs once operational
