The custom-built 17 metre catamaran, Wildcat Mackay, offers tourists an exceptional all-inclusive, eco-friendly day tour to view hidden treasures off the coast of Mackay. The catamaran has capacity to accommodate 40 persons on each tour.
Completed in November 2021, one of the key objectives in supporting this project was to create more reasons for tourists to stay and explore the city of Mackay and surrounding attractions such as Cape Hillsborough.
This project is a part of the $25 million Growing Tourism Infrastructure (GTI) Fund 2020/21 which is a key element of Queensland’s Economic Recovery Strategy: Unite and Recover for Queensland Jobs to help accelerate the State’s recovery from COVID-19.
