WWII Secret Base
Completed in late 2020, this project created a World War II Secret Base highlighting Charleville's World War II heritage.
Visitors can experience what life was like for 3,500 United States Army Air Force personnel stationed in Charleville through an interactive and self-guided display.
Three immersive digital experiences use augmented and virtual reality technology, thanks to support from an Advance Queensland Fellowship.
The interactive displays showcase; ocean voyages, Top Secret information, classified missions, wartime romances, and you can command your own bombing mission and much more.
